About the Artist

What I Create

My artwork celebrates the inherent beauty of landscapes, still life, and Judaica in watercolor, oil pastel, and pencil. I enjoy experimenting with various media because it allows me to capture the unique characteristics of my subjects. I only use professional quality paper, paint, pastels and pencils. See my short video Here’s What’s in My Creative Toolbox for a summary of my creative tools.

What I Want to Say With My Art

To depict the essence of a thing is elusive. That’s why I have a personal relationship with my artwork. Subjects for a still life are the objects around me. Places I’ve visited become my landscapes. My abstract art reveals my mood and feeling at a particular moment.

What do I want to say with my art? Know that the mundane is not so mundane, the simple not so simple. There’s inherent beauty and complexity in even the simplest of objects and places that deserves to be captured.

Art Education and Exhibitions

I’m a self-taught artist with supplemental learning from online courses. I learn from professional artists including Brent Eviston, Jill Poyerd, and David Jamieson. I love to learn and always want to learn more.

My artwork has appeared in group shows as well as a solo exhibition at the Waltuch Gallery in Tenafly, NJ.
